100,000 AMPS

Master Control Systems changes the fire protection industry forever by solving Arc Flash hazard - responsible for over 1000 deaths per year. Filmed in ultra slow-motion, Master puts 100,000 Amps through a standard NFPA 20 Fire Pump Controller, and then runs the same test against their new invention: the SIS controller. And the difference is stunning. Story

[Product Release] Arc Flash Hazard kills over 1,000 maintenance workers in the fire pump control industry every year - and Master is the first in the industry to invent a way to service the controller safely.

The mission: create an engaging, stylized film that would draw attention to an industry-changing product, while still getting the key technical points across.

Directors Statement

As hybrid brand-documentary, narrative, and product film all wrapped into one - there were a lot of amazing creative challenges in bringing this to life, including that we didn’t exactly know what would happen to the test dummies! To solve this, we prepared multiple endings to still come away with a great film no matter what - but we ultimately got to use the one we were hoping for: the dummy used in the invention was unscathed.

This was an industry first, captured in real-time, and I couldn’t be more proud of the team for the level of preparedness and safety involved to make this happen in a 1-day shoot.
